Find the New 2017 Hyundai Tucson Here in San Antonio

Considered a small SUV by many in the auto industry, the new 2017 Tucson is really our middling SUV option, larger than the Santa Fe Sport, but smaller than the three-row Santa Fe. The Tucson provides ample space to seat five and lots of ways to organize your cabin so you can fit all kinds of cargo inside. Receiving high marks from both the government and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the new 2017 Tucson proves to be a reliable and trustworthy SUV you'll be comfortable driving your family around in. The small SUV market is packed with many popular models, but you'll find the relative affordability and the wealth of features available make the new Tucson a smart option.

Six trim levels, two engine options, available AWD and several optional features and safety systems give you many ways to outfit and build your new Hyundai Tucson in the way that suits your style and handles your travel needs. Here at our San Antonio Hyundai dealer, we'll make sure to go over all your options so that you can find the best setup for you. Look through below to explore the available features in the new Tucson, then visit today to get started.

Standard Equipment, Safety Features and Technology in the New 2017 Hyundai Tucson

With six available trim levels (which are discussed in further detail below), you'd expect the new Tucson to offer a fairly limited set of features in its base package. However, the base SE edition is generously equipped, giving you a great place to start as you look to outfit your new SUV in a way that suits your style. For standard equipment, the 2017 Tucson SE comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 164 horsepower and earns up to 30 mpg with the FWD setup. AWD is an option, and knocks down the mpg figures a bit. You'll also find heated mirrors, rear privacy glass, air conditioning, cruise control, a height-adjustable driver seat, split folding and reclining rear seatbacks, a tilt and telescoping steering wheel and a six-speaker sound system with a CD player, a USB port and an auxiliary input jack.

Tech offerings in the Tucson SE include a 5-inch touchscreen, a rearview camera and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as satellite radio. An optional Popular package adds a power driver seat, LED headlight accents and daytime running lights. As you can see, the starting package of the new Tucson is fairly well-equipped, especially compared to other small SUVs in its segment. The following additional trim levels listed below will include all the offerings here unless noted otherwise (a different engine is common in many of the trims), so take a look through before visiting us in San Antonio today.

2017 Hyundai Tucson Trim Levels and Features

2017 Hyundai Tucson Eco

The easiest trim to talk about is the Eco, since it includes everything in the SE, while swapping out the 2.0-liter engine for a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder that offers a nice boost of fuel efficiency and horsepower. This engine produces 175 horsepower while offering up to 32 mpg on the highway with FWD, or 30 highway mpg with AWD, both solid figures for an SUV of this size.

2017 Hyundai Tucson Sport

This version of the Tucson, equipped with the turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder, includes 19-inch wheels, a hands-free power liftgate, keyless entry and ignition, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, upgraded interior materials and safety features like blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

2017 Hyundai Tucson Night

This is pretty much the Sport edition with black wheels, side mirrors and matte black side sills. The Night edition also adds a sunroof, aluminum sport pedals and a specialized steering wheel.

2017 Hyundai Tucson SE Plus

This is the only other Tucson version that comes with the base 2.0-liter four-cylinder, and gives you a wealth of feature upgrades. These include LED headlights and taillights, leather upholstery, an eight-way power passenger seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, Hyundai's Blue Link telematics system, a larger 8-inch touchscreen, a navigation system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, HD radio and an eight-speaker audio system.

2017 Hyundai Tucson Limited

The top of the line Limited edition is practically the same as the SE Plus, except this model has the turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder. The Limited also makes the Ultimate package that adds xenon headlights, rear parking sensors, a panoramic sunroof, an upgraded gauge cluster display, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, lane departure warning, and a forward collision mitigation system with automatic braking.
